Birth of an Institution
TEC (The Executive Committee) was born in October 1957 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when Bob Nourse assembled a group of businessmen for a novel CEO round table. Nourse’s idea was to have executives share their collective knowledge and experiences to help each other generate better results for their businesses. This innovative peer-to-peer round table concept has been a success since the beginning.
Growth and Fidelity
Bob Nourse turned TEC’s reins over to Harry Dennis III (featured in the above video). Dennis continued TEC’s expansion while faithfully adhering to Nourse’s proven TEC formula for success. Thanks to Dennis’ leadership, TEC Wisconsin and TEC Michigan today boast a membership approaching 1,000 CEOs and company presidents. Dennis served as the strategic planning facilitator for more than 300 small and medium-sized TEC/Vistage businesses throughout the U.S., Canada and the U.K. during TEC’s global expansion.
