Michael N. HerroMichael N. Herro is the CEO and owner of NICKAL, LLC, a holding company based in Wisconsin and group Chairman of TEC 59. Prior to NICKAL, Herro was the CEO and co-owner of Geo-Synthetics, Inc., (GSI), a distributor and installer of environmental products. After acquiring GSI in 1994, Herro lead the national expansion to grow revenues from 10 million to 76 million in 12 years. GSI became a national distributor and leading installer of environmental construction products with operations in Arizona, North and South Carolina, and Waukesha, Wisconsin. In 2007, GSI sold its southeastern company, GSI General Materials, to a division of Home Depot. During his time at GSI, Herro had extensive experience with the development of strategic planning, market development, incentive based compensation plans and corporate acquisitions. Prior to joining GSI, Herro served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Milwaukee Insurance Company. Milwaukee Insurance was a publicly traded company with annual premiums of $700 million and operations in the Midwest. There Herro was responsible for Human Resources, Quality, Corporate Communications, Education and Training, Plant Operations and Facilities. Herro is a member of The Metropolitan Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce (MMAC) and a Director of the Council of Small Business Executives. He has served as a CEO Round Table Leader since 1996, working with several business owners in the Milwaukee area. Herro is a past President and director of the Greater Milwaukee Personnel Association and past President of the New Berlin Public Schools Board of Education. Herro received his bachelor's degree in Economics and Communications from UW-Milwaukee in 1975. Mike added TEC group Chairman to his business portfolio in March of 2009.
