Val A. MayerVal A. Mayer is a senior executive with over 20 years of general management experience including 11 years international. Prior to establishing the firm, Val served as president and chief executive officer of Borg Instruments, a German owned firm. Earlier, he played a key role in Emerson Electric Company's general management as the change agent for newly acquired divisions. This included a four year assignment in the Netherlands. He specializes in executive management counseling and contract management assignments. The focus with client companies is supporting the president and/or owner's goals with specific objectives for a specified contract time period. His main influence is positioning and coaching the executive first reports in the implementation of the strategic and tactical plans of the company. Val is a principal of The Summit Group, LLC; a consortium of independent consultants representing a diversity of business disciplines. This organization has the resources to support a variety of client needs. The Summit Group is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is also one of Wisconsin's Chairman in "The Executive Committee" and "Executive Agenda" organizations, which are devoted to "Enhancing the Lives of Executives". In this capacity, Val counsels over sixty-five senior executives, helping them to achieve their business objectives through the TEC and EA process. Both TEC and EA are headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Val is currently serving on three company boards and has served on the board of advisors for the University of Wisconsin Business School. He is a graduate of St. Louis University and holds a BS degree in Business Administration.
