TEC Chairs:Jim Sheridan
Jim Sheridan

Jim Sheridan has twenty years experience as a CEO in turning around well-managed companies into high profit performers in their industry. Trained by Fortune 500 business planners in his earlier career, Jim has honed his skills in ever increasing management assignments.

His accomplishments include growing a window-covering firm from $75 million to $250 million in sales and increasing the return on investment. He also led the turn-around of a stagnant Philip Morris division to a profit level that ensured a desirable selling price. Jim took a year old acquisition at Springs Industries that was losing money and redirected the company into a profitable growth mode in twelve months, a swing of $12 million to the bottom line.

In recent years, Jim has worked in family owned companies and with small entrepreneurs. As a consultant and mentor, he has been able to present professional management methods in a clear and logical manner allowing these methods to be taken on as the company's owners own. A holder of a BA degree and a MBA in marketing and industrial psychology from Iona College, New Rochelle, New York, Jim currently resides with his wife Nancy in Middleton, Wisconsin.

Jim has lived in Wisconsin for 22 years. His career has taken him from New York City to Odessa Texas, Arlington Heights Illinois, Akron Ohio and finally Wisconsin. A native New Yorker, Jim attended the same high school as a future Milwaukee Buck's superstar, Lou Alcindor. Jim's children are young adults now living in Portland, Oregon and Sandy, Utah.
